BEXCO manufactures ropes for marine and offshore applications and is one of the leading suppliers world-wide. BEXCO is the result of the merger in 1999 between Le Lis n.v. and Vermeire nv, whose (traditional) rope making activities can be traced back to 1725. During the last 10 years BEXCO has evolved from a traditional rope making company to a high tech specialist rope maker for marine, offshore and industrial applications.

BEXCO has built its premises in an area of 30.000 m² and is located in a modern industrial area at 30 minutes from the Port of Antwerp, 50 minutes from Brussels and 90 minutes from the port of Rotterdam.

In the last decade the company invested in new production capacity resulting in a factory of 16.000 m² with the most modern and technologically advanced machinery and a new lift bridge of 40 ton, operational since October 2006.
