Manufacturer completes 26 x 1000 m deep water mooring ropes and 16 inserts with a minimum breaking load (MBL) of 1700 tons
Bexco, the leading polyester rope manufacturer for the world’s largest offshore oil and gas mooring and lifting projects, has completed the final, twenty-sixth DeepRope® reel for the Delta House semi-submersible oil platform project in the Gulf of Mexico.
The project milestone was celebrated by the Board of Directors and Bexco personnel on December 11th upon the expedition of the final reel from the Hamme production site in Belgium.
Francis Mottrie, Chief Executive Officer of Bexco commented: “The on-time production and delivery of this final Deeprope® for the Delta House project represents a significant achievement. It is now the second major deepwater mooring project we have completed production for in 2013 following the on-time delivery earlier this year of Deeprope® for the Hebron offshore mooring project.”
All the Delta House Deeprope® reels will be loaded onto a chartered vessel at the Port of Antwerp early in the New Year for delivery to the production site in the Gulf of Mexico.
