To ensure Bexco Synthetic Ropes by Bekaert are the solution of choice in offshore operations applications (Single Point Mooring & Lifting Solutions). Organize and manage all commercial activity related to offshore operations. Create opportunities and secure orders to ensure the business meets its commercial objectives in line with the profit plan and agreed objectives and strategies.
- Identify concrete market potential, emerging trends, and industry shifts, including targeted qualification of key (lead) accounts within defined Single Point Mooring (SPM) applications.
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships between the organization and (potential) customers.
- Maintain and build worldwide strong network with agents.
- Negotiate effectively within commercial proposals to finalize sales agreements, ensuring acceptable deliverables and realistic timelines while balancing strict customer requirements with mutual commercial interests.

- Ensure accurate (pre-)sales administration, including quotation management, technical support coordination, contract compliance, sales order booking, lead-time and deliverable tracking, communication with support departments, customer payment follow-up, and non-conformity processes.
- Position Bexco Synthetic Ropes by Bekaert at the center of the offshore lifting ecosystem, building positive relationships with lifting engineers, rigging specialists, operators, and other stakeholders to ensure our products are widely accepted and specified in tenders.
- Responsible for visual inspection of slings, ensuring accurate assessment, proper documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Attend proof load tests, ensuring all procedures were performed to the required standards and verifying that goods met criteria for successful delivery.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of positive results in previous sales, business development, or project
management roles.
- Experience in offshore lifting, mooring, heavy lifting, or similar industries is a strong advantage.
- Ability to develop and manage multiple accounts, balancing long-term relationship building with short-term revenue generation.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix management organization and collaborate across internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Technical understanding of materials, structural integrity, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

- Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.

As a Key Account & Business Development Manager Maritime, you act as a strategic partner for customers within the Maritime segment. You build and nurture long-term customer relationships, drive value creation, and represent the voice of the customer internally to continuously enhance service delivery and solutions.
You are responsible for further developing the Maritime segment by defining and executing the Maritime strategy. This includes expanding the customer base through the acquisition of new key accounts, strengthening existing relationships, and evolving the offering to ensure sustainable, profitable growth with attractive margins
- Act as the single point of contact for key maritime accounts and develop additional strategic accounts.
- Identify and realize value-growth opportunities through account expansion, new partnerships, and solution-driven selling.

The Commercial Director is responsible for driving order intake, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction across the business while ensuring strong execution of sales strategies.
